Cyber criminals attacks hospitals and homes in the time of lockdown. In these difficult times, we all have been lockdown due to global health emergency i.e. Coronavirus pandemic which would meant an instant ceasefire to all other strife.
Most of us have been lockdown for the last few weeks. The security threats have only sky-rocketed.
People on the frontiers of the batter against COVID-19 – hospitals and healthcare professionals are now the favourite targets of cyber criminals.
These malicious acts on the part of cyber criminals are unfortunately hampering the smooth functioning of the healthcare sectors like hospitals and other healthcare institutions and its working staff.
These have also become the fertile targets of ransomware attacks to locked them of these critical systems in an attempt to extort payments.
